New hymnal 2018 Give thanks to the Lord III
The story of this album starts a little further. The collaboration between baritone Joose Vähäsöyring and organist Vesa Kajava is the result of ten years of joint study in church music at the Oulu Conservatory and the Sibelius Academy. Towards the end of their studies (in 2006), they decided to realize their long-cherished dream of a joint album of hymns. This is how the popular Thank You Lord! - series of hymn albums, which has now been continued with the Kiittäkää Herraa III album recorded in the summer of 2018. Like the previous albums in the series, the content of the album consists of hymns and songs of Zion, set to music with a fresh take.
